The Office of Community Engagement (OCE) received a silver award for its “CSUSB Midterm Election Voter Campaign” under the TV/Video Advertising/PSA Series, according to the CAA. “We are very proud of communication studies students J’kaire Gentry and David Williams who created this campaign,” said OCE Director Diane Podolske. “To win a silver award in a national field of large higher education institutions is a testament to their talent and the high-quality instruction they are receiving at CSUSB.” To watch the three award-winning videos, click on the following links:

Awards were issued for entries that received the Silver Award from judges, placing them in the top 12 percent of the nation for advertising excellence. Judging criteria included creativity, layout and design, functionality, message effectiveness, production quality and overall appeal. The 2019 CAA program had more than 900 entries from the United States and Canada representing small community colleges to very large schools and universities. Submissions were reviewed and by a national panel of industry experts, with a possibility of 100 total points. Participants’ entries competed against similar-sized organizations in their specific groups and categories.   All award recipients are posted on the Collegiate Advertising Awards website. For more information on Cal State San Bernardino, contact the university’s Office of Strategic Communication at (909) 537-5007 and visit inside.csusb.edu
