Documentary co-produced by CSUSB professor reviewedSantaFe.com/The Richard Eads ShowMay 13, 2019 The documentary “1948: Creation & Catastrophe,” which was co-produced and co-directed by Ahlam Muhtaseb, CSUSB professor of communication studies, with Andy Trimlett, was reviewed by Santa Fe-area attorney Jeffery Haas on a radio talk show hosted by Richard Eads. The film was scheduled to be shown at the Center for Creative Arts Santa Fe. “I think both sides are given, and there is no one side’s opinion that this movie – you hear from Israeli generals and leaders who did terrible things and are not apologetic about it and say it was necessary. And you hear a lot from Palestinians who lost family members and are living in Gaza, and can’t go back to their homes,” said Haas, who is Jewish, at about 13 minutes and 35 seconds into the program. Listen to the podcast at “Jeffrey Hass on The Film ‘1948: Creation & Catastrophe’ – A Film Coming to CCA, with Local Attorney, Jeffrey Haas.”
