What to Expect from Classroom Visitations (CV)
- When and where: September 18, 2025 @12-1 pm via Zoom
- Description: Classroom visitation (CV) reports are instruments used to assess a faculty member's teaching effectiveness during the RPT process. By the end of this session, you will:
- Gain familiarity with FAM 652.1 policy and guidelines regarding CV
- Explore the criteria by which you are evaluated by your peers (CV)
- Understand what to anticipate during both the actual classroom visitation (CV) and pre/post-visit meetings.
Student Evaluation (SOTE) Policy & Procedures and How They Matter
- When and where: October 16, 2025 @12-1 pm via Zoom
- Description: SOTEs (Student Opinion of Teaching Effectiveness) are instrumental in assessing a faculty
- member’s teaching performance for RPT. At the end of this session, you will be able to:
- Understand the differences and the appropriate use of SOTE FORM A, FORM B, and FORM C.
- Receive guidance on including SOTE information in the Faculty Activity Report (FAR).
- Discover where to access the College SOTE Comparison Chart.
- Learn the process for requesting the inclusion of SOTEs for Summer and Winter terms in the FAR.
Reviewing RPT Criteria and Crafting Your FAR
- When and where: November 20, 2025 @12-1 pm via Zoom
- Description: In this workshop, we will cover the:
- Differences between periodic and performance reviews
- Criteria for the evaluation of teaching, research and service
- What to include in your FAR
- How to create an Index of Attachments and Joint Activities Report
How to Prepare and Submit Your FAR via Interfolio
- When and where: December 4, 2025 via Zoom and January 29, 2026 @12-1 pm via Zoom
- Description: With the help of the FAD team members, you will familiarize yourselves with Interfolio and learn how to upload your RPT package via Interfolio. I will also answer your questions regarding FAR preparation with examples and tips.
Navigating RPT Reviews: How to Respond to Reviewer Recommendations
- When and where: May 7, 2026 @12-1 pm via Zoom
- Description: This workshop is designed to help you understand and respond to RPT reviewer recommendations. At the end of this session, you will be able to
- interpret RPT reviewer recommendations
- learn how to utilize them in future FAR submissions
- assess when it is appropriate to write a rebuttal and
- craft an effective rebuttal.
