Zion allows you to follow the paths where ancient native people and pioneers once walked the land. With massive sandstone cliffs of cream, pink, and red that soar into a brilliant blue sky, you are guaranteed a week to remember. Our days will consist of, hiking the Hidden Canyon Trail, Kayenta Trail and the Upper Emerald pools! No trip to Zion would be complete without a visit to the famous Angels Landing trail filled with switchbacks ascending over sheer cliffs with chains bolted on the rock face to serve as handrails. Zion’s unique array of plants and animals will enchant you as you absorb the rich history of the past and enjoy the excitement of present day adventures.

Itinerary
Day 1: We will meet at the SRWC to pack up the van and make sure we all have the necessary and proper gear and attire for a successful trip. Then it’s a 390 mile / 627 km drive, about 6 hours, to the magnificent Zion National Park. We will check in to our campsite and set up camp. We will then have time to stop by the visitor center and learn about the park.

Day 2: After breakfast we pack up our gear and lunch for the day, and take a shuttle to start our hike.

Day 3: It’s another early wake up at 8am to a good breakfast and a packing up camp. We will explore the park in the morning and enjoy our lunch before heading home. We shall get some dinner along the way so bring some money and should arrive back at CSUSB around 10pm.

Food 
6 meals are included, starting with dinner on day 1 (2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, and 2 dinners)
2 meals are not included (1 lunch and 1 dinner). Bring money. 

Hygiene and Comfort
We will be staying in reserved campsites. The campsites are within close proximity to flush toilets and there are showers. Potable water will be available. You will have the option to share a tent with one or two people or sleep out under the cover of the stars.  Light weight tents, warm synthetic sleeping bags, foam pads and ground tarps will be provided to ensure a comfortable night’s sleep. The ground consists of soft soil.
