Classrooms

Indoor Environment

The Children’s Center offers two preschool classrooms, each of which includes area for a variety of activities. Both classrooms offer children room for quiet activities and stories, dramatic play, science activities, and tables for creative and discovery activities. Each classroom/age-group operates under a unique and individual daily schedule. You will find your child’s daily schedule posted in his/her classroom. Additionally, each teacher will post a weekly lesson plan that outlines daily curriculum and learning activities.

Outdoor Environment

Both classrooms have access to an outdoor classroom that is used daily. The area is covered with a sand/dirt mixture and has paved areas for tricycles and wheeled toys. Many activities that are done indoors can also be done outdoors, and this area provides the children with fresh air and a larger, open area for play and vigorous physical activity. Additionally, we believe that the outdoors offers children exciting opportunities and experience not readily available indoors. Therefore, except in the most inclement weather (i.e., extreme heat, hail, excessive rain, etc.), children will have the opportunity to play outside every day.
