Students entering the CAFS major must complete the following 4 courses prior to being classified as a full CAFS major.
- General Education Basic Skills in English (A1)
- General Education Basic Skills in Mathematics (A3)
- CD 2240 Introduction to Child Development
- CD 2210 Introduction to Data Analysis in Child Development
In addition, they must earn a āCā or better in each of the above courses, have at least a 2.5 GPA in the above courses, and have an overall University GPA of at least 2.25. Once these conditions are met, the Office of the Registrar will change student status from pre-CAFS to CAFS. You can calculate your GPA in the 4 pre-major courses and your overall GPA below:
