An applicant’s admission process starts well before they submit an application and will continue until they are attending courses. With that in mind, the following important admission deadlines will give incoming First-Year Students an idea of what to expect as they make their journey to becoming a Coyote at CSUSB.
All deadlines are specific to CSUSB. Failure to meet a CSUSB deadline may result in the cancellation of your application. Deadline extensions or exemptions are not granted regardless of the reason. Additional requirements and deadlines might also apply to students in unique admission situations.

Fall First-Year Student Deadlines
December 15: Impacted and Non-Impacted Majors
July 31: Recently Released Veteran and Returning CSUSB Students
CSUSB will accept Undergraduate Applications via Cal State Apply from First-Year students October 1st through December 15th. All 23 of the CSU campuses use the standard Cal State Apply application system. Each submitted application per CSU campus has a $70 fee.
February 15: If requested, 7th Semester Transcript Due
If requested, First-Year students will need to send 7th semester transcript to the Office of Admissions by February 15. Students should regularly check their To-Do List, located in their myCoyote account for an individualized list of all documents needed, including due dates for each item. Not all First-Year students will be required to submit 7th semester transcripts so please check your To Do list.
May 1: Accept/Decline & Enrollment Confirmation Deposit Deadline
Applicants are offered admission to CSUSB starting as early as October 15 up through April 1. When you receive your admission decision is based on many factors and does not reflect on your academic achievements. After being offered admission, all students must formally accept their offer and pay the $100 Enrollment Confirmation Deposit to secure a spot for Fall enrollment term. May 17: If required, Early Start Deadline
The goals of Early Start are to better prepare students in written communication and math/quantitative reasoning before their first term, thereby improving their chances of successful completion of a baccalaureate degree in a timely manner. If Early Start is recommended for you, you will receive email inviting you to attend. For more information visit the Early Start website.
June 14: First-Year Orientation Deadline
Orientation is a mandatory program for all newly admitted students into CSUSB. It is designed to transition you to life in College and the CSUSB campus as well as assist you in becoming familiar with the wide range of academic opportunities available at CSUSB. Orientation sessions are offered at both the San Bernardino and Palm Desert campus. You must register for an orientation session on or before June 14. July 15: Final Document Deadline
All incoming students are required to submit Final Official High School transcripts reflecting a graduation date and all course grades received 9th through 12th grade. Students should submit these as soon as they are available but no later than July 15. Additional documents such as test scores may also be required. For a personalized list of your required documents, CSUSB will create a To-Do list for each student in your MyCoyote account with a personalized list of documents.
