Pablo Gutierrez, doctorate in educational leadership, and Marisol Sanchez, master of science, education specialist, are the Watson College of Education’s outstanding graduates who are examples of how Cal State San Bernardino prepare leaders to serve diverse communities.
Born and raised in Mexico, Pablo Gutierrez embarked on a journey to the United States to pursue the American Dream, encountering obstacles and opportunities that have shaped his educational and professional path.
The Holmes Scholars Program supports racially and ethnically diverse students pursuing graduate degrees in education to be future faculty in institutions of higher education. The goal of the program is to provide mentorship, peer support and professional development opportunities to scholars.
