Francesca Beer (finance) discussed how reward credit cards work; Stuart Sumida (biology), as president of the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology, was cited in an article on how some paleontologists seek research funding in light of some receiving donations from the late Jeffery Epstein; and Brian Levin (criminal justice, emeritus), was interviewed about “speed running,” the accused gunman in the White House Correspondents Dinner attack, and the federal indictment against the Southern Poverty Law Center.

The Voice is an annual initiative launched in 2018 to uplift underrepresented students, with a particular focus on amplifying the voices and experiences of Black men.

The in-person conversation will take place on Feb. 19 at noon in Jack H. Brown Hall, room 287.

The event, which drew a crowd of more than 200, highlighted how AI is reshaping career opportunities for women and underscored the urgent need for women to help design and govern the future of technology.

Every year, ShEconomy includes a panel discussion with local women leaders.

"Every year, we celebrate women by organizing the ShEconomy event, focusing exclusively on topics relevant to their empowerment and professional growth," said Francisca Beer, associate dean and director of the Office of Academic Equity at Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration. This year, the Oct. 24 event was held at Santos Manuel Student Union South and on Zoom.
