

Stoneview Nature Center
Installation completed in 2017 for the LA County Arts Commission in Culver City, California
Stoneview Nature Center Civic Art program was created in multiple expressions and includes a custom wallcovering, salon-style photographs of the historic Blair Hills neighborhood, a language score, six artist-made hangout spaces, and dozens of fruit-bearing plants and trees from California history.


Promised Land
Installation completed in 2019 for the Tel Aviv University Museum in Tel Aviv, Israel
Promised Land is a local portrait of a different sort: all the plants shown were photographed by the artists in the over several months throughout Israel,
and the taxidermy are regional birds of prey that are extinct as the result of modern infrastructure and chemicals from 20th century farming.


Monument to Sharing
Installation completed in 2017 for the Creative Capital Supported Project in Los Angeles State Historic Park
A grove of 32 orange trees in planters located near the Ann Street Entrance of Los Angeles State Historic Park. Each planter has a phrase from a neighbor in the surrounding community. The phrases become a poem. We gathered the phrases as we planted over 150 trees in the surrounding neighborhood.


Event Horizon
Installation completed in 2019 at for the Artist in Residency in Kunsthal 3.14, Bergen, Norway
California-based artists group Fallen Fruit (David Allen Burns and Austin Young), make art which explores the role of fruit in creating shared culture both for the institutional art scene as well as for the public urban spaces.

Recontextualized on 52 panels of glass, custom made a synchronous repeat pattern, archival inks printed onto acrylic substrate, commissioned by META / FACEBOOK as a permanent intervention on architecture by Frank Ghery, 2021.


Let Them Eat LACMA
Installation completed in 2010 for the Los Angeles County Museum of Art
EATLACMA is a year-long investigation into food, art, culture and politics. Fusing the richness of LACMA's permanent collection with the ephemerality of food and the natural growth cycle, the projects consider food as a common ground that explores the social role of art and ritual in community.
