Dr. Yongseok Jang is currently serving as an associate professor of management within the esteemed Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration at California State University, San Bernardino. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Florida and continued to develop his expertise through a post-doctoral fellowship at the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the same institution. His research mostly focuses on technology strategy for early stage startups. His work has been published in leading journals such as Journal of Small Business Management, Journal of Business Research, Technology Analysis & Strategic Management and Asian Journal of Technolgy and Innovation.
Dr. Jang’s research effectiveness is evidenced by my record of award-winning projects and publications in leading journals, mostly revolving around two major thematic areas, technology entrepreneurship, and entrepreneurship education. Dr. Jang has established himself as a prominent member of the academic community, earning recognition as a multiple time winning faculty member. His commitment to the advancement of the field of management is evidenced by his involvement in a variety of academic initiatives, including serving as a reviewer for academic conferences and journals. Dr. Jang has successfully employed multidisciplinary strategies throughout his academic career. Collaborating with researchers from diverse fields, including communication, human resource, marketing, and information science, to name a few, has enabled me to produce innovative research outcomes.
Dr. Jang teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in Strategic Management. By integrating relevant programs that allow students to experiment and apply concepts they learn in class, Dr. Jang creates a dynamic and engaging learning experience for his students. His commitment to this approach has helped prepare students to tackle real-world challenges with confidence and proficiency.
Dr. Jang is an active member of several esteemed academic organizations, including the Academy of Management, USASBE, and Strategic Management Society. His contributions to the field of management have been significant, and his ongoing dedication to research, education, and community outreach has made him a valuable member of the academic community. Globally, Dr. Jang serves the Korean Society of Business Venturing and Entrepreneurship as an active Associate Director of International Relations.
