Ronald Coverson

 Ron Coverson is the Associate Vice President of Human Resources for Cal State University, San Bernardino.

Prior to his appointment at CSU San Bernardino, Ron served as the Assistant Dean of Academic Personnel and Human Resources for UC Berkeley’s School of Law.  Ron originally joined UC Berkeley as the Senior Director of Human Resources, Talent Management and Workforce Planning for UC Berkeley's University Development and Alumni Relations organization (UDAR).   Before joining UC Berkeley, Ron worked as a Strategic Business Partner and Executive Area Manager at Barrett Business Services, Inc., a peak performance management consulting firm.  Prior to his time at Barrett, Ron served as the Executive Director of Human Resources for The America’s Cup Event Authority in San Francisco, CA.   Ron worked for seven (7) years as a Director of Human Resources for Stanford University located in Palo Alto, California.

  
Ron’s background includes human resources management and consultation, talent acquisition and retention, union negotiation, training and organizational development and executive coaching.  Ron has also worked as a strategic planner and business development manager. Over the course of his career, Ron has worked with Fortune 250 Companies of all sizes on maximizing human capital with a focus on leadership and management development, brand identity, mission critical operations, and workforce optimization.
