Dr. Mark Miller is the Low Brass Applied Faculty at Cal State San Bernardino. Dr. Miller is the Bass Trombonist for the San Luis Obispo Symphony and has performed with orchestras all over California, including the San Diego Symphony, Fresno Philharmonic, Monterey Symphony, and the San Bernardino Symphony Orchestra. Dr. Miller earned his Doctorate in Bass Trombone Performance from the University of Southern California. He also has an MM in Trombone Performance from USC and a BA in Music from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
Dr. Miller, a Southern California native, is in demand as a teacher and clinician across California. In addition to CSUSB Dr. Miller is the Low Brass Faculty at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and the Trombone Faculty at Pasadena City College. He was the conductor of the Symphonic Band at Cal State Los Angeles in 2019 and 2017. In 2015 Dr. Miller was the soloist for the Roy Main Brass Festival at Cuesta College and he has presented clinics and masterclasses in Colorado and Texas.
