Bio
As the Scholarly Communication Librarian at CSUSB, I provide leadership, outreach, and education on the scholarly communication ecosystem, including open access advocacy, open science practices, open educational resources, copyright and fair use, research impact, and management of the institutional repository.
I offer support and consultations on publishing and author rights, data management planning, sharing research outputs through ScholarWorks, securing persistent identifiers (ORCID, DOI), and measuring research impact. I also collaborate with faculty and graduate students on open-access publishing options, compliance with funder mandates, and integrating open educational resources into courses.
I hold a Ph.D. in Communications and Information Science and was awarded a Fulbright Research Award in Japan for 2023–2024 to examine open-access infrastructure at the National Institute of Informatics in Tokyo. I also received a two-year NSF Grant to examine research data management practices. I am passionate about advancing open-access advocacy, supporting equitable scholarly communication, and building sustainable open infrastructure.
