Bio
Danny’s current research is based on a collaborative archaeological project in Abiquiu, New Mexico. In general, his research is steeped in the practices collectively known as Indigenous Archaeology, which entails an archaeological research agenda that is defined in partnership with, organized to support, and accountable to those who lay claim to the heritage being investigated. Importantly, Danny has a history of incorporating undergraduate and graduate students into his research program while mentoring them in new archaeological methods and collaborative techniques. He has also been an effective advocate for underserved, underrepresented, and first-generation students who face unique obstacles to participating in field research programs. Danny will be teaching and mentoring primarily in the department’s MA in Applied Archaeology program.
