Denim Day is an annual campaign to raise awareness about sexual violence in support of survivors. It started after an Italian court overturned a rape conviction in the 1990s, claiming the victim's tight jeans implied consent. In protest, people began wearing denim to challenge this harmful myth and show solidarity with survivors.
Wearing denim sends a clear message: consent is NEVER tied to clothing.
