Dr. Suma Ikeuchi

Dr. Suma Ikeuchi is Associate Professor of East Asian Languages and Cultural Studies at UC Santa Barbara. A cultural anthropologist, she specializes in migration, religion, and transnational Japanese communities. She is the author of Jesus Loves Japan, an award-winning ethnography of Japanese Brazilian return migration and identity formation.
