

Danyel Smith, Student Assistant, Graphic Designer & Social Media Lead
With around four years of design experience, Danyel brings both professionalism and creativity to everything she touches here at our unit. Danyel is a Bachelors of Fine Art major with a concentration of interface design. She is currently our Graphic Designer and Social Media Lead. At our unit, she designs graphics for our sponsors, oversees promotional visuals for our Cal Talks program, and helps make sure our branding stays consistent across platforms. She is also involved in Coyote Chronicle where she helps produce our school's newspaper. Occasionally she creates video content for social media. Danyel originally joined to gain valuable real world experience to be able to create art as a job. Her goal is to become a great designer from here to be able to open more opportunities for herself. Other activities keeping Danyel busy consist of watching movies, hanging with friends, livestream herself gaming, and listen to music. Danyel has a strong passion for success, she hopes to achieve the dream of just making art for work. With the strong help of support from her friends and family she feels like nothing is impossible

Sergio Venegas, Student Assistant, Graphic Designer
Sergio has been graphic designing for about six years and it shows. With a strong command of Photoshop, InDesign, Adobe Illustrator and other design tools, he brings a high level of skill and versatility to our unit. Sergio is a Bachelors of Fine Art Major with a concentration in design. Before joining our unit, Sergio worked at a print shop, where he learned many of the technical and creative skills he uses today. Now, he designs graphics, logos, and promotional flyers for the unit—and at times jumps behind the camera to take photos for social media and content creation. Before joining, Sergio's goal was to find a way to use his creative for the school's community, and learn how to build off that creativity. He also wanted to grow and navigate within team collaboration. When Sergio is not busy, he enjoys getting deeply lost into music, enjoys playing retro games, watching indie films and drink coffee.

Jacob Macias, Student Assistant, Photographer & Videographer
Jacob has been the units go-to photographer and videographer, bringing over five years of freelance experience and a published body of work to the team. Jacob is a Bachelor of fine arts major-Art Education- with a Minor in Photography and Videography. Before joining Jacob was looking to apply his skills in a real world work environment. His goal was to become important and reliable within the unit and learn how to work on collaborative projects. In our unit, Jacob oversees all photo & video related projects. He has been documenting every event hosted by the Radio, including live band and artist performances, and takes portraits of team members to keep the website and blog visuals up to date.Outside the unit, Jacob photographs just about anything he finds interesting. Anything from local and larger-scale artists, clothing and jewelry brands, events, and studio work. Beyond the camera, Jacob has a wide range of interests. He’s a massive pro wrestling fan—occasionally captures wrestling shows himself—loves all kinds of music, is a dedicated Dallas Cowboys fan, and enjoys playing video games.

Crystal Frost, Intern, Art & Design
Crystal Frost is our Unit's student assistant. Crystal is a Bachelors Of Fine Art Design major with a concentration of Interface Design. Crystal takes on the task of creating promotional posters, flyers, and cards. Crystal originally joined to see how the professinal side of things run within a radio station. Her goal is to gain as much experience as possible as a designer to eventually, use those learnt skills and apply them into the real world. Outside of radio, Crystal from time to time enjoys either a nice boba drink or coffee. She also enjoys playing video games, draw for fun, and watch scary movies. Crystal strives to be the best here, and with the help of support from her friends and family, Crystal believes she can make anything happen for herself.
