Opening Session Speaker: Dan Melchior | Director, Shared Services, SDSU | Change Champion Network Manager, CSU System
Dan Melchior, the son of blue-collar parents, grew up in Evansville, Indiana, a town in the "Crossroads of America." After earning a BS and MBA from the University of Southern Indiana, he moved to South Florida, where he served as an executive at several multi-national corporations. In 2021, he earned an MA degree from Johns Hopkins University and is currently the inaugural Director of Shared Services at San Diego State University. He is the author of Shared Services – A Manager's Journey and the recently released true crime memoir, The Silk Finisher: Bigotry, Murder, and Sacrifice in the Crossroads of America.
Closing Session Speaker: Chris Bradney | Director, Strategic Technology Initiatives, CSUSB
Chris Bradney serves as the Director of Strategic Technology Initiatives here at CSUSB. Chris has more than 15 years of higher education IT experience with both public and private institutions, including 8 years at CSUSB. He's responsible for the IT Strategic Plan, collaborating to create efficient processes, and leading project implementation and change management strategies. In addition to certifications in project management, change management, and Lean Six Sigma process improvement, he holds a master's degree in Leadership and Organizational Studies and is nearing completion of his Doctor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Strategic Management.
