Bilingual Cross Cultural Programs (On-Hiatus) - The M.A. in education with an option in bilingual/crosscultural education is designed to give advanced training to personnel involved in bilingual programs in grades K-12. The program should also meet the needs of community college personnel who are involved in the training of classroom aides and other paraprofessionals.

Career and Technical Education - The M.A. in education with an option in career and technical education is designed to provide advanced and specialized education to personnel working in a variety of settings related to vocational education such as secondary, postsecondary and private schools. The program should also meet the requirements for leadership positions in these facilities.

Correctional & Alternative Education (Program on Hiatus) - The M.A. in education with an option in correctional and alternative education is designed to help develop an army of change agents to improve and consolidate the delivery of educational services for marginalized students—drop outs, 'push outs,' and confined learners. The traditional outcomes of education have been knowledge, skills and attitudes in that priority order, but our goal is to reverse those priorities: attitudes, skills, and knowledge.

Counseling Masters Degree Program - The M.S. in counseling is a professional program preparing students to become educational counselors. The degree program is designed to fulfill all the California State requirements for counseling in grades K-12, so that a graduate will concurrently receive the M.S. and the California Pupil Personnel Services Credential.

Rehabilitation Counseling - The M.A. rehabilitation counseling is designed to prepare students to work with individuals with disabilities in public and private rehabilitation agencies, hospitals, industry and related fields. The graduate program, a three-year course of study, will train students in rehabilitation counseling, vocational evaluation and job placement of persons with disabilities. Graduates of the program will be prepared to take the certified rehabilitation counselor examination.

School Psychology, EDS - The School Psychology Program at CSU San Bernardino provides professional preparation for the Pupil Personnel Services Credential with Specialization in School Psychology. The program is designed to meet the mandates for the Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Psychology (PPS) established by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC). The program is also designed to meet the national accreditation standards of the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) as adopted in 1984 and revised in 2000.

Special Education - The Master of Science (MS) in Special Education provides students with advanced preparation in research methodologies and research based practices that address contemporary topics and issues in the field of Special Education. The MS in Special Education overlaps significantly with the coursework and field experiences required in Education Specialist credential program.
Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) - The M.A. in education with an option in teaching English to speakers of other languages prepares educators to meet the needs of English language learners in K-12 classrooms in the United States and abroad. The teaching of English around the world is one of the fastest-growing international professions and offers worldwide English teaching opportunities to qualified graduates. Courses in ESL teaching methods and supervised fieldwork opportunities provide a broad overview of theories of language acquisition and social cultural influences on language learning, and strengthen the mastery of classroom techniques. Administrative Services Preliminary (Also known as the Tier I Preliminary Credential) - The Preliminary Administrative Services Credential (Tier I) is a state approved program that qualifies graduates to serve in any administrative position in the California Public Schools, K-12. California has a two-tier credential structure. A five-year preliminary credential is the first credential issued after an individual meets basic credential requirements. A clear credential is issued when all credential requirements have been completed.

The Administrative Services Credential authorizes the holder to provide the following services in grades 12 and below, including preschool, and in classes organized primarily for adults:
- Develop, coordinate, and assess instructional programs
- Evaluate certificated and classified personnel
- Provide students' discipline, including but not limited to, suspension and expulsion
- Provide certificated and classified employees discipline, including but not limited to, suspension, dismissal, and reinstatement
- Supervise certificated and classified personnel
- Manage school site, district, or county level fiscal services
- Recruit, employ, and assign certificated and classified personnel
- Develop, coordinate, and supervise student support services, including but not limited to extracurricular activities, pupil personnel services, health services, library services, and technology support services
- An individual must hold an Administrative Services Credential to provide the following services in grades preschool, K-12 and adults:
- Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of instructional services at the school site level
- Evaluate of certificated personnel employed at the school site level, with the exception of the site administrator
- Student and certificated personnel employee discipline services at the school site level
Administrative Services Preliminary (Internship) - The (Tier I) Intern Administrative Services Credential allows a student in the Tier I administrative credential program (for the Preliminary Administrative Credential) to work as an administrator while in the program.
Any student who has completed admission requirements to the University AND the College of Education, Educational Administration Tier I (Preliminary Administrative Services Credential) Program may request a letter of eligibility to the intern project from the Intern Director. This eligibility letter can be used when applying for an administrative position with a school district in place of the preliminary administrative credential. Specific steps are explained below.
Administrative Services Professional (Tier II Credential) - The Professional Clear ASC is designed for full-time school administrators who hold the Preliminary Administrative Services Credential and now need to clear that preliminary credential by obtaining the (Tier II) Professional Clear Administrative Services Credential.
The Professional Clear ASC provides focused, reflective, assessment-based professional development for school administrators, enabling them to effectively address the challenges of educational leadership in diverse settings through a two year mentorship. Analysis, research, and evaluation comprise an individual induction plan for the practicing administrator, as required by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC).
Professional Clear Level II Education Specialist Credential: Mild/Moderate Disabilities with EL Authorization (from Special Ed. Overview) - The Mild to Moderate Disabilities (MMD) Intern Program at California State University, San Bernardino is a two year program leading to a Preliminary Education Specialist Instruction Credential: Mild/Moderate Disabilities with the English learner (EL) authorization. The MMD Intern at CSUSB is one of only four in the State that culminates in a Preliminary Education Specialist Credential rather than only a Preliminary (level I) Education Specialist Credential. To facilitate the MMD Intern Program, partnerships are established with local district and county offices of education. Students are accepted into the program throughout the year and are provided with an individualized course sequence that will outline their completion of the credential requirements within the 24 month timeframe. The course sequence is coordinated so students attend classes with the same cohort of students throughout the duration of the program at the San Bernardino or the Palm Desert Campus. Each fall, winter and spring quarter, interns will have biweekly observations by their assigned University Supervisor. In order to provide the best possible experience and training, it is the objective of the Intern Program that the supervisor function as both a support and evaluator to the interns while acting as a liaison between the personnel at the school site, district, and the University. All interns have the additional benefit of the assistance of a District/Site Support Provider.
The Special Education Program integrates credential coursework with the coursework requirements for the Degree of Master of Arts in Education, Special Education Option, Mild to Moderate Disabilities Emphasis. Interns may earn their Master's Degree by completing only four additional courses and a culminating experience (i.e., comprehensive examination or project).

Pupil Personnel Services: School Counseling - The CSU-San Bernardino the School Psychologist Credential program is a ninety-five (95) quarter unit sequence of training. It is designed for professionals who already possess an Ed.S. in School Psychology, Masters or Doctoral degree in Educational Counseling, Psychology, Special Education, Education, Marriage/Family Therapy, and Social Work, or are in the final stages of training for such a discipline (e.g. final year of coursework, thesis to complete, etc.).
Supervision and Coordination of Designated Subjects Programs - The Designated Subjects Supervision/Coordination Credential qualifies the holder to function as a Supervisor, Coordinator or Administrator in Regional Occupation Programs and Adult Education Programs in the State of California, also correctional education, community college and private post-secondary programs. Any teachers interested in administrative skills and processes can benefit from the information and activities included with this course work.
