U.S. Rep. Pete Aguilar (D-San Bernardino) and CSUSB have announced that two students have been selected to receive scholarships as part of the Department of Defense’s Information Assurance Scholarship Program.
Social media and internet security were the topics of a networking breakfast and workshop hosted by the Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration on Oct. 5.
The free event, open to current and prospective students, counselors and faculty, begins at 6 p.m. at the Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration, room 102.
Four cybersecurity majors at Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico made their way to CSUSB to finish their studies after their campus was heavily damaged by Hurricane Maria.
The students, participants in the Ontario-Montclair Promise Scholars Initiative, came from Vernon Middle School in Montclair and Oaks Middle School in Ontario.
The work off campus by David Carlson and Juan Delgado (English), Sant Khalsa (art), Tony Coulson (information and decision sciences) and Kathryn Ervin (theatre arts) is chronicled in the local news media.
In late January 2018, 20 cybersecurity students from Cal State San Bernardino headed for Washington, D.C., for the competitive Internship/Job Fair. All landed jobs or internships.
