Ten years after tragedy forever changed the San Bernardino community, CSUSB continues to honor the 14 lives lost in the 2015 mass shooting at the Inland Regional Center. All the victims will be honored during the Day of Remembrance on Dec. 2 at the university’s Peace Garden.

Over 145 CSUSB students have completed the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM) Bridges to Stem Cell Research Scholars Internship Program, which has propelled them into careers in research, Ph.D. programs, and acceptance into medical, dental and pharmacy schools.
Nicole Bournias-Vardiabasis, professor of biology, is the recipient of the 2024 Andreoli Faculty Service Award for her contributions to biotechnology education and research in the California State University system.
