The opening program, “South Asian Stories at Sunset,” presented a rich cultural texture that broadened what it means to be a member of the Asian American, Pacific Islander and South Asian community at Cal State San Bernardino.

The university is getting a head start on the annual celebration of its Asian, Pacific Islander and South Asian communities. Nationally, Asian Pacific Islander Desi American Heritage Month is celebrated during the month of May, but because the university has a short month in May with finals, CSUSB starts its celebration in April.
Graduating students are welcome to register for CSUSB’s first-ever API Graduation Celebration, noon- 2 p.m. Friday, May 7. More details are available at the API Graduation Celebration site.
