
CSUSB President Tomás D. Morales and three other university administrators will speak at local African-American churches on Feb. 10 on the importance and value of a college degree.

CSUSB President Tomás D. Morales visited St. Paul AME Church in San Bernardino on Feb. 10 to speak on the importance and value of a college degree as part of the CSU’s Super Sunday.

CSUSB’s John M. Pfau Library will host a talk, “We Carry the Border on our Bodies: Bridging and Maneuvering Immigration Status Barriers in U.S. and Canadian Postsecondary Education,” by Paloma E. Villegas, assistant professor of sociology.

Noted philanthropist and supporter of higher education throughout the world, Dr. Sang-Kyun Lee, CEO of South Korea-based Shin-Il Corporation and chairman of the Shin-Il Foundation, will be awarded an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters.

During the three-day conference, educators will explore what impacts students, how outside factors impact students and what they can do to impact students’ lives.
