Cal State San Bernardino will be closed in observation of the holiday season beginning Tuesday, Dec. 24, and will reopen for regular business operations Thursday, Jan. 2.

The CSUSB community gathered on Dec. 16 to honor the memory of Abhishek Sudhesh, a graduate student from India, who was killed off campus on Thanksgiving Day. His family, in partnership with CSUSB, established a scholarship fund in Sudhesh’s name.
Alemayehu G. Mariam, CSUSB professor emeritus, political science, spoke at the inaugural Ethiopian Diaspora Trust Fund (EDTF) fundraising gala on Dec. 12. He is the chair of the trust fund.
CSUSB was listed at No. 6 in CollegeNET’s 2019 Social Mobility Index, which measures the extent to which a college educates more economically disadvantaged students at lower tuition and graduates them into good paying jobs.
