
Three friends of Cal State San Bernardino – Shelby Obershaw, Ingeborg Schuler and Terrance L. Stone – were honored at the annual event for their contributions to the university and the community.

The partnership leverages CSUSB’s renowned expertise in entrepreneurship education and innovation alongside the city’s commitment to cultivating a thriving business environment.

Diane Vines (nursing) discusses the grant the Nursing Street Medicine program received from the Desert Healthcare District & Foundation, Thomas McWeeney (public administration) co-wrote an op-ed on school safety, and Brian Levin (criminal justice emeritus) was interviewed on the increasing hate incidents against Arabs, Muslims and Jews.

The closing ceremony featured state assemblymember and CSUSB alumnus James C. Ramos, bird singers and words of wisdom from CSUSB Indigenous leaders.

The handbook was developed by students enrolled in CSUSB’s master’s in human resources program and presented to the owners of Portals Entertainment Group by Tomás Gómez-Arias, dean of Cal State San Bernardino’s Jack H. Brown College of Business & Public Administration.

J.V. Decemvirale, newly appointed assistant professor of art and design at CSUSB, will present his talk beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the university’s Robert and Frances Fullerton Art Museum.

Anthony Donatelli, BA, communication studies ’15, is being recognized for his creativity and impact in the spheres of broadcast journalism, digital media and mass communication.

Quoted in recent news articles or publishing research are Kathryn Ervin (theatre arts emerita) and Brian Levin (criminal justice emeritus); Eugene H. Wong, Kevin P. Rosales and Lisa Looney (child development); Edna Martinez (associate vice president and administrator in charge of the CSUSB Palm Desert Campus) co-authored a study with Sharon Velarde Pierce (CSUSB public administration); and Jonathan Jay Dubois (anthropology).

This year’s Day of Remembrance will take place at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at the university’s Peace Garden outside of the Chemical Sciences building.

The exhibition by Alexander Dixon will run from Nov. 27 to Dec. 2, featuring a series of interactive glass artworks centered around perception and reality. A reception is scheduled for Nov. 30, from 4-6 p.m.

The 42 students representing a cross-section of academic disciplines, presented their research at the 2023 Southern California Conference for Undergraduate Research Conference, “Discover the Possibilities,” which took place Nov. 18 at Cal State Fullerton.

The CSUSB Nursing Street Medicine program delivers no-cost vital healthcare services to vulnerable members of the Coachella Valley community.
