
The MBA program at CSUSB’s Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration has once again been recognized by The Princeton Review in its 2024 rankings. Notably, the graduate business program is ranked No. 37 among the Top 50 Online MBA Programs, and the on-campus MBA program’s entrepreneurship concentration, as well as the Master of Science in Entrepreneurship and Innovation program, have been ranked No. 38 among the Top 50 Entrepreneurship: Grad Programs in the world.

The program, which is awarded to juniors, seniors and graduate students, provides financial assistance for those interested in exploring and preparing for a doctoral program.

Stuart Sumida (biology) will be a panelist at San Diego Comic-Con on Sunday, July 28; Yawen Li (sociology) presented a talk at Yunnan University in China; and research by Brian Levin (criminal justice, emeritus) was cited in a news article about U.S. political violence.

The California Student Opportunity and Access Program (Cal-SOAP) hosted the fourth annual Summer Algebra Institute on June 3-28, a four-week educational program designed to help students in the seventh-11th grade improve their algebra skills.

CSUSB’s Center for Cyber & Artificial Intelligence hosted its 10th annual youth cyber summer camp, “CyberGuardians: Navigating the AI-Enhanced Future,” from July 7-12, introducing 60 Inland Empire high school students to the world of AI and cybersecurity.

Marc Robinson, assistant professor of history, was one of the more than 30 participants at a national professional development retreat in Atlanta for Black male educators, organized and led by Black Male Educators Talk (BMEsTalk).

"Less than 200 institutions worldwide are accredited by NASPAA, and their emphasis on public service values perfectly aligns with the ethos of the faculty, staff, and students at the Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration," said Tomás Gomez-Arias, dean of the college.

Barbara Sirotnik is the recipient of the Inland Empire ASPA 2024 Outstanding Educator Award from the Inland Empire chapter of the American Society for Public Administration.

The latest work is the 59th refereed book by Viktor Wang, professor of educational leadership and technology, and is a comprehensive exploration of the diverse theories, methodologies, and practices that underpin adult education.

Marc Robinson (history) was interviewed about his latest book, “Washington State Rising: Black Power on Campus in the Pacific Northwest;” Stuart Sumida (biology) was a panelist at San Diego Comic-Con; Katherine Gray (art) discussed the science of glassmaking; Andrea Giuffre (criminal justice) co-authored two papers that were recently published; and Brian Levin (criminal justice, emeritus) was a panelist at a recent forum on hate crimes in the Inland Empire.

Meredith Conroy (political science) was interviewed on the renewed attention of Vice President Kamala Harris and Brian Levin (criminal justice, emeritus) discussed with various news media , and at a public forum, the influence of political rhetoric and violence.

The Global Summer Entrepreneurship Summit has fostered international collaboration and provided 21 students from Ukraine and South Korea with enhanced skills and knowledge to become leaders in entrepreneurship. As part of the intensive program, some of the students will travel to Washington, D.C., on July 20-25, to meet political leaders, ambassadors and learn about U.S. democracy.
