Business operations at Cal State San Bernardino and its Palm Desert Campus will be closed Tuesday, March 31, in observance of Farmworkers Day, the state holiday recognizing California’s farmworker rights movement.
The holiday falls during the university’s spring break of the spring semester; no classes are in session the week of March 30-April 3. However, except for the holiday, all campus administrative offices are operating.
Spring semester classes will resume on Monday, April 6.
University Police will remain on duty on all days during spring break.
Farmworkers Day is a time for California to honor the past, reflect on the present and renew the collective dedication to equity and justice for farmworkers, according to a joint statement from Speaker of the Assembly Robert Rivas and Senate President Pro Tempore Monique Limón.
