Cal State San Bernardino will continue a cherished university tradition of community service with its annual Coyote Cares Day on Saturday, Feb. 28.

Coyote Cares Day brings together students, faculty and staff to make a meaningful impact across San Bernardino and Riverside counties. Participants from both the San Bernardino and Palm Desert campuses will engage in a variety of volunteer opportunities, supporting local nonprofit organizations, assisting with beautification projects, and contributing to efforts that rebuild, restore and uplift the communities CSUSB proudly serves.

Organized by the Division of Student Affairs, the annual day of service reflects CSUSB’s commitment to community partnership and civic engagement. In addition to strengthening ties between the university and the Inland Empire region, Coyote Cares Day provides participants the opportunity to connect with others who share a passion for giving back.

Volunteer opportunities will take place throughout San Bernardino County for the San Bernardino campus and Riverside County for the Palm Desert campus.

Although advance registration for Coyote Cares Day has closed, an on-site registration table will be available the day of the event, where participants will be assigned an on-campus service project. All volunteers must submit a signed liability waiver and photo release form prior to participation.

In conjunction with Coyote Cares Day, the Division of Student Affairs is hosting a book drive from Feb. 2-27 to benefit local schools, libraries and community programs. The initiative advances literacy efforts across the region, and the campus community is encouraged to donate new or gently used books to help inspire and educate others.
