Cal State San Bernardino MFA studio art students Jacob Adame and Haylie Roché have been selected to exhibit their artwork in the prestigious and highly competitive SoCal MFA Juried Exhibition at the Millard Sheets Art Center in Pomona.

Each year, a prominent curator of contemporary art is appointed to select artwork for the exhibition. This year, Devin Troy Strother, a well-known American artist based in New York City, selected more than 25 works ranging from painting and sculpture to photography and multimedia.

A small number of emerging artists from eight of the best MFA studio art programs in the Southern California region have been selected, which include students from Cal State San Bernardino, Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Long Beach, CSU Northridge, ArtCenter College of Design, Cal Arts, Claremont Graduate University and UC Irvine.

The exhibition will be held at the Millard Sheets Art Center, 1101 W. McKinley Ave., Pomona., with the opening reception on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2-6 p.m. The exhibition runs until March 7. The gallery is open Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
