Susan Sutton

Cal State San Bernardino’s Internationalization Laboratory, created to position the university as more globally oriented and internationally connected, will be the focus of a visit by a senior associate at the American Council on Education on Thursday, Dec. 5.

Susan Sutton, who is also a Fellow at the Institute of International Education (IIE) Center on International Partnerships, will meet with the university’s Internationalization Lab committee, the deans, and the leadership teams to learn about the university and its means of internationalization.

Sutton is CSUSB’s appointed advisor for the Internationalization Lab and will support the university’s Internationalization Lab committee as the campus develops strategies for comprehensive internationalization for students, faculty and staff.

Comprehensive internationalization, as defined by ACE, is a strategic, coordinated process that seeks to align and integrate policies, programs and initiatives to position colleges and universities as more globally oriented and internationally connected.

Cal State San Bernardino is one of 18 colleges and universities participating in the ACE 17th Internationalization Laboratory cohort. The university’s Internationalization Lab committee has finalized its membership, formed sub-committees and plans to review current CSUSB’s Internationalization.
