The Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration at Cal State San Bernardino has been named one of the nation's most outstanding business schools, according to The Princeton Review®.

The Jack H. Brown College is one of 248 on-campus MBA programs that was selected for the Princeton Review’s Best Business Schools for 2020 and accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

“We are delighted to be named one of the country’s best business schools,” said Lawrence Rose, dean of the Jack H. Brown College. “It’s a tribute to the hard work, dedication and enthusiasm of our faculty and staff to provide an outstanding and challenging curriculum along with dedicated mentoring to our students.”

The education services company profiles the Jack H. Brown College in its recently reported list, 'Best Business Schools for 2020,' which The Princeton Review posted online on Nov. 19.

'We recommend Cal State San Bernardino as an excellent choice for a student aspiring to earn an MBA,' said Rob Franek, The Princeton Review's Editor-in-Chief. He noted that the company chose the schools for its list for 2020 based on data it collected from surveys of administrators at business schools during the 2018-19 academic year. The administrator survey, which numbered more than 200 questions, covered topics from academic offerings and admission requirements to data about currently enrolled students as well as graduates' employment.

Franek added, 'What makes our 'Best Business Schools' designations unique is that we take into account the opinions of students attending the schools about their campus and classroom experiences. For our 2020 list we surveyed more than 20,700 students at 248 business schools.'

The Princeton Review's 80-question student survey asked students about their school's academics, student body, and campus life as well as about themselves and their career plans. The student surveys were conducted during the 2018-19, 2017-18, and 2016-17 academic years.

The profiles also have five categories of ratings that The Princeton Review tallies based on data from its administrator and/or student survey. The ratings are scores on a scale of 60 to 99. Rating categories are: Academic Experience, Admissions Selectivity, Career, Professors Interesting, and Professors Accessible.

The Princeton Review does not rank the on-campus MBA programs from 1 to 248, or name one business school best overall. Instead, the company publishes 18 ranking lists of the top 10 business schools in various categories. Most of the ranking lists are based on data from both student and administrator surveys.

The Princeton Review Best Business Schools project reports a separate list that names the top 25 online MBA programs (in rank order). That list, at “View the Best On-campus MBA Programs,” was posted on Nov. 19.

The Princeton Review posted its lists of the Top Undergraduate and Graduate Schools for Entrepreneurship Studies for 2020 on Nov. 12.

Note: The Princeton Review is not affiliated with Princeton University. All schools that participated in The Princeton Review Best Business Schools for 2020 survey project were considered for the lists. Schools that did not participate were not considered.
