A violent storm has left twin siblings Viola and Sebastian shipwrecked off the coast of the kingdom of Illyria. Thinking her brother lost, Viola disguises herself as a man named Cesario and finds herself not only in the employ of Orsino, the Duke of Illyria, but also at the center of a complicated love triangle. As Orsino commands Viola help him win Lady Olivia’s heart, Viola begins to fall for the Duke, as Lady Olivia begins falling for the disguised Viola!
Complicating matters further, Viola’s brother Sebastian arrives in Illyria and is quickly mistaken for the disguised Viola, also attracting the attention of Olivia.
CSUSB’s version of “Twelfth Night,” set in the early 1990s, is loaded with the music of the era, as well as live performances by a talented cast of actors – all performed in the round.
