Yves Mombeleur, vice president and community outreach officer of Banner Bank, visited the university on June 13 to present the $6,000 gift for the Banner Bank Scholarship Fund.
Banner Bank is dedicated to supporting first-generation college students, as the advancement of education is a key priority to the bank. This is Banner Bank’s second gift to support student scholarships. The first gift of $6,000 was awarded in December and provided six scholarships for students with financial need.
Banner Bank also has also given to CSUSB’s Inland Empire Small Business Development Center to help support the program’s mission of providing technical assistance to existing or aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners throughout the community.
Banner Bank, which has branches in Washington, Oregon, California and Idaho, has been named the Best Bank in the Pacific Region in 2018 by Money Magazine, and has been included in Forbes’ 100 Best Banks in America for the last three years. The bank places a high importance of contributing to the communities it serves.
