They took the steps their babies would not be able to take.

More than 700 people participated to pay tribute to babies lost to miscarriage, stillbirth, SIDs or illness during the 8th annual Walk to Remember at Cal State San Bernardino, led by the Institute for Child Development and Family Relations.

Held by the nonprofit organization Forever Footprints, the walk throughout the campus offered a day of peace and comfort for parents, siblings, family, friends and medical professionals enduring the pain of a lost baby.

A memorial service was held prior to the walk and concluded with a picnic. The even included a musical tribute, speaker, rose distribution and reading of the babies’ names.

The Forever Footprints mission is to ensure that families who have suffered a pregnancy or infant loss receive the best support, comfort, and resources possible. To do so, Forever Footprints provides families with direct services, educates the medical community to improve quality of care and response, and offers opportunities for remembrance to help families find their own path to healing.
