Cal State San Bernardino’s Department of Communication Studies will host the annual Communication Symposium on Tuesday, May 1.

The event, “What’s Next? Using My Communication Studies Degree” will feature panelists, expert speakers, an awards banquet and resources for professional and academic careers in the field of communication studies. It will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Santos Manuel Student Union Theater and Events Center.

All CSUSB alumni, students, staff and faculty are welcome to attend a day full of knowledge and celebration.

Event schedule:

  • Panel 1: Getting My First Job in Communication – 9 to 10:20 a.m., SMSU Theater;
  • Panel 2: Being a Successful Professional in Communication – 10:30 to 11:50 a.m., SMSU Theater;
  • Lunch and Awards – noon to 2 p.m., SMSU Events Center; and
  • Grad Student Q& A Panel – 2 to 3 p.m., SMSU Theater.

Although there is no charge to attend, registration and tickets are required to attend all events, except for the graduate student question-and-answer panel. The luncheon awards ceremony comes with a complimentary meal. Register for the symposium at its page on Eventbrite.
