Artist Spotlight: Cal State San Bernardino educator loves acting, from commercials to ShakespeareThe Press-Enterprise/The SunJune 7, 2018

Since his childhood was spent on the move as a military dependent, Terry Smith grew up with a high degree of adaptability.

Born while his father was in basic training, Smith, chair of the CSUSB Department of Theatre Arts, celebrated his first birthday on a ship bound for England. Smith, a Crestline resident, is playing Prospero in “The Tempest,” part of the third annual Courtyard Shakespeare Festival at California Baptist University in Riverside.
