The Cal State San Bernardino campus community is invited to a free Garden Party on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., in the university’s Community Garden (next to the Arrowhead Village pool). The Garden Party will highlight the campus’ community garden and showcase sustainability initiatives on campus and within the community. Attendees will get to take home some SWAG, visit a pop-up reused clothing shop, listen to music and enter a drawing for a $25 Starbucks gift card. From 1-2:30 p.m., the Inland Empire Resource Conservation District and Master Gardeners will offer a free take-home planting activity for the first 50 participants to promote organic gardening. The Garden Party is a collaboration between the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies; Environmental Sustainability Course “Campus as a Living Lab Project”; Department of Housing and Residential Education; Associated Students Inc.; Office of Community Engagement; Coyote Dining; Student Association of Geography and Environmental Studies; Office of Sustainability; and the Inland Empire Resources Conservation District.
