
The Peer Support Suicide Prevention Training is a free, in-depth 4-day training offered on campus, twice a year that teaches participants how to support individuals at risk for suicide, with a focus on high-risk populations, interactive action planning, and connection to campus and community mental health resources.
By attending, trainees gain a variety of skills including:
- In-depth trainings and workshops on suicide prevention
- Knowledge about mental health challenges for high-risk populations
- Networking opportunities with campus and community agencies that provide suicide
prevention and mental health services - Interactive action planning for applying these skills to CSUSB and the community
