This grant is focused on providing access to higher education and professional development to Early Childhood (EC) Educators in the field or planning to work in the field of EC within San Bernardino County. We are leading aspects related to higher education through multiple ways. We provide scholarship funding for two certificate programs (Early Childhood Administrative and Leadership Certificate and Early Childhood Trauma Informed Care Certificate). Additionally, we have educational mentors that meet multiple times with scholarship recipients to provide supports through the higher education experience and help develop professional development plans for next steps. We also work on creating more access to higher education through working with other colleges in the community and developing materials about where EC and CD degree programs are offered.
