First Star Academy is a comprehensive college-prep program designed for high school-aged youth in foster care. We offer academic enrichment, mentorship, life skills workshops and college/career readiness, as well as an immersive summer residential experience on a university campus. Our goal is to ensure students have the skills, resources and adult support necessary to improve their educational and early adulthood outcomes. What sets us apart is our holistic approach to student support, integration into a university setting, and dedication to addressing the unique challenges youth in foster care face.
