CiviliTEA Cafe

This workshop introduces practical ways to draw on Robert’s Rules of Order to make
academic department, program, and committee meetings more democratic, inclusive, and
effective. Participants will learn how to adapt key principles—such as clear agendas,
unanimous consent, the basics of motions, and transparent decision-making—for less
formal settings. Participants will understand connections between meeting facilitation,
democratic values, and civility.
