Open Auditions for Mariposa/Butterfly and A Midsummer Night’s Dream!
Auditions for the opening performances of the CSUSB Department of Theatre Arts 2024-2025 season will be Sept. 4 – 5, with callbacks on Sept. 6 in the Performing Art building PA144 from 6 – 9 p.m. All majors are welcome and encouraged to audition!
Mariposa / Butterfly is a touring children’s theatre performance combining acting a puppetry to tell a fun, yet poignant story that will travel to local elementary schools. Spanish speakers are needed, no other preparation is required! The show will tour, in the mornings, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from Oct. 11 – Nov. 22, with 3 additional performances Dec. 6 – 8 on the CSUSB Barnes Theatre stage.
William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream directed by Professor Kristsi Papailler takes the stage for 7 performances from Nov. 15 – 24th. Professor Papailler is looking for a large, gender-fluid cast. Performances of this classic fantastical-comedy will run Nov. 15, 16, 17, 21, 22, 23 & 24. Please prepare a 1-minute monologue from either a classic or contemporary stage play for the audition.
