Power to the San Bernardino campus has been restored as of 9:55 a.m. Normal campus operations will resume Friday, July 26th. Essential staff with questions on whether to report should contact their appropriate administrator. Acclaimed Chicana painter, sculptor, and printmaker Linda Vallejo will be joining us for a public program where she will be in conversation about her work with Laura August, Curator at the Rubin Center for the Visual Arts at the University of Texas, El Paso. This duo will discuss the artist’s recent work Brown Baroque: Objects of Opulence, currently on view at the museum. Vallejo is a long-established, California-based Chicana artist whose work addresses the social and cultural issues of color, class, privilege, visibility, and belonging.
