Service-Learning: Impactful Teaching and Meaningful Service (Part 1)

Service learning at CSUSB is a high-impact teaching method that promotes student learning through active participation in meaningful and planned service experiences that are substantially related to course content. Through reflective activities, students enhance their understanding of course content, general knowledge, sense of civic responsibility, self-awareness and commitment to the community. This workshop will focus on developing community-engaged online courses, embedding service-learning experiences to an existing course, and designing reflection activities for virtual learning settings.
