Leave No Trace Trainer Course - ONLINE

Leave No Trace Trainer Courses emphasize skills and techniques essential to Leave No Trace minimum-impact outdoor ethics and education. Become part of a National movement and become a certified Leave No Trace Instructor with this online course. Through the course of five, 2-hour online interactive workshops and home study, participants will learn how to teach the Leave No Trace and Outdoor Ethics message. You will learn how to plan and prepare for your trip, take advantage of durable surfaces for camping and hiking, properly dispose of waste, leave what you find, minimize the impacts of campfires, respect wildlife, and respect others that may travel your path in days to come. Upon completion of the course, you will gain a deeper understanding of what it takes to protect the outdoors so that others may enjoy it as much you do!    

Those seeking the LNT 16-hour Leave No Trace Trainer certification must complete the following

1. Attend 5 online interactive workshops

2. Prepare and present a 15 - 20 minute presentation to the group.

3. Complete 6-8 hours of homework outside of online meeting.
