New Faculty Orientation is designed for all full time faculty (tenure-track and lecturers). It consists of a two day institute just before classes start, followed by a set of 2-hour workshops throughout the academic year for all new full time faculty (tenure-track and full time lecturers).

The two-day institute provides a broad overview of resources, both scholastic and logistic, to set new faculty on the path to a successful start at CSUSB. The continuing workshops will provide skills and resources to apply for internal and external grants, to support students inside and outside of the classroom, and for faculty to successfully navigate the retention, tenure, and promotion (RPT) process.

This program is coordinated by the Faculty Mentoring Network (FMN) with support from Faculty Affairs and Development (FAD), and in conjunction with the Teaching Resource Center (TRC), Academic Technologies and Innovations (ATI), Academic Research, Office of Community Engagement (OCE), the Faculty Center for Excellence (FCE) and many others.
