Cruz on over to Channel Islands largest island, Santa Cruz, and experience nature like never before. On this 3 day adventure, you will snorkel in kelp forests, hike to some of nature’s most breathtaking views, and sleep under the stars! Don’t get crabby yet, we’re going to also visit tide pools and the critters that call it their home! So grab your swimsuits and hiking shoes and join us for an unforgettable weekend!

Itinerary 
Day 1:  We will meet not so bright and early up at the SRWC at 5:00am in order to catch or boat. We will drive 3 hours to Ventura, CA in order to catch a 9:00am ferry to Santa Cruz Island. After setting up camp on the island we will go on a little day hike and explore the island. After some exploring we will have dinner and hit the hay!

Day 2:  We will wake up early for a hearty breakfast and head to a moderate and scenic hike. in the afternoon we will go on a fun snorkeling adventure. After a long day of hiking, tide pool, and snorkeling we will enjoy our dinner under the stars and get some well-deserved rest.

Day 3:  Sunday, after a morning hiking and a little more exploring we will have lunch just before catching our 12:00pm ferry back to the mainland. We will grab dinner on the way home and be at CSUSB by 8:00pm.

Food 
7 meals are included, starting with lunch on day 1 (2 breakfast, 3 lunch, and 2 dinner)
Dinner of the way home is not provided. Bring money. 

Hygiene and Comfort
We will be carrying our all our food, shelter, clothing, water and equipment in a pack weighting up to 40lbs. We will be staying in reserved campsites. The campsites are within close proximity to vault toilets and there are NO showers. We will have access t drinking water. You will have the option to share a tent with one or two people or sleep out under the cover of the stars.  Light weight tents, warm synthetic sleeping bags, foam pads and ground tarps will be provided to ensure a comfortable night’s sleep. The ground consists of soft soil.
