Film Title: “Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk” (2016) – rated R (for language throughout, some war violence, sexual content, and brief drug use)
When: From 10:30 am – 12:20 pm, followed by audience “talk back”
Where: Pfau Library 5005
Background: Based on a bestselling satire by Ben Fountain set in Texas during America’s war in Iraq, the movie follows the surviving members of the heroic Bravo Squad through one exhausting stop in their media intensive “Victory Tour” at Texas Stadium. The film is a commentary about our society’s uninformed and misguided patriotism.
