CIMES-ASQ Conference Registration
The Center for Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies (CIMES) at California State University, San Bernardino
and Arab Studies Quarterly will hold a joint conference April 20-21, 2018 at the CSUSB campus, commemorating
the 40th anniversary of Arab Studies Quarterly. The Conference theme, U.S. H
EGEMONY
& THE ARAB WORLD
,
will examine multiple subthemes, including U.S. involvement in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region
and its role in support of the state of Israel in Palestine and the impact on the indigenous Palestinian population.
In addition to a number of panels, the conference will feature the following keynote speakers:

The Saturday program finale will include a film screening:
1948: Creation & Catastrophe
followed by a Q & A session with film makers Ahlam Muhtaseb & Andy Trimlett.
